FTRC furnaces

These furnaces combining the convection heating on the upper face of the glass with a radiativ heating on the other face are specially intended for the low-E glasses.

They can be continuous or oscillating.

Schéma des principes de convection et de radiation

They are proposed in several sizes :

  • FTRC 3015,
  • FTRC 3621,
  • FTRC 3624,
  • FTRC 4824.

FTRC furnace

Besides the easy steering, the main advantages are :

Puce

The increase of productivity (+ 40 %).

Puce

The better optical quality (control of thermal flow, glass temperature homogeneity...).

Puce

The better planarity.

Dimensions and capacity of FTRC furnaces :

Puce

The operation flexibility (simplified machine control, quick model change time, easy evacuation of cullet, fast rollers change).

*    Optional for 3 mm thickness.
**  Figures given for 6 mm thick clear glass in 2 shifts production with 75 % loading rate.

FTR furnaces

These furnaces use the traditional radiativ heating principle with air injection.

FTR furnace

They are intended for the clear glass and the building and furnishing industries. They can be continuous or oscillating and they are proposed in several sizes : FTR 2512, FTR 3015, FTR 3521, FTR 3624, FTR 4824.

The main advantages of this type of furnace are the optimization of the temperature homogeneity, the control of flow and the easy evacuation of cullet.

A maintenance agreement may be signed.

HST units

Since 1997 and according the EN 14179 standard, Saint-Gobain Seva produces Heat Soak Test units to control the NiS inclusions in tempered glass.

HST 600

A range of different sized units is available and fits your capacities and glass sizes : HST 600, HST 485, HST 300.

The main advantages of these HST units are the reduced and easy handling, the short cycle time, the stage control (consequently guaranteeing the test), the easy cleaning of broken glass...

Below are the dimensions and capacity of our HST units :
